本文爲一硏究計劃之報告，此項硏究計劃旨在將現存三個電子聖經版本 (《新標點和合本》、《現代中文譯本》、《呂振中譯本》)裡的「特別造字」轉爲「標準字」(big 5碼)，但又不影響它的經文内容。自從數年前鄒子仲牧師出版了首個中文聖腦聖經以來，這些「特別造字」不能成爲了中文聖經電腦化過程的一主要障礙，更礙了在電腦排版方面的製作。這項計劃乃由中文聖經協商會(聯合聖經公會)所批核並由香港聖經公會所資助的。

ABSTRACT

This article is an report on the project to replace all the “special characters” (a total of 118) found in the current electronic text of the three Chinese versions (CUNP, TCV, and LUV) by “standard characters” with the condition that the message of the text will not be affected. For a number of years since the first appearance of the Chinese computer Bible produced by Rev. T.C. Chow, these “special characters” have become a major obstacle both for the computerization of the Chinese biblical texts, and the production, i.e. computer typesetting. The undertaking of this project is approved by the Chinese Consultation (United Bible Societies) and is funded by Hong Kong Bible Society.
