本文主要探討滕近輝牧師對詮釋聖經那種轉化生命的信念。首先，筆者描述西方學術界如何把聖經與教會的場景分家，然後說明詮釋聖經最理想的場景就是教會，進而帶出滕牧師對詮釋聖經那種轉化生命的信念在批判時代的重要性，以此來突顯他在當今華人教會的釋經上所作出的貢獻。

ABSTRACT

This paper seeks to study the life-transformative conviction of Philip Teng in the field of biblical hermeneutics. First, I describe how the critical scholarship attempts to disentangle the Bible from the hermeneutical context of the Church, making biblical interpretation “context-free” without the ecclesiastical context. Then, I shall argue that the most desirable context for biblical interpretation should be the context of the Church. As such, the life-transformative conviction of Philip Teng becomes significant in the environment of critical age, and this significance should be highlighted as one of the major contributions to the contemporary Chinese Church.
