滕近輝牧師對華人神學教育的理念/周永健

撮 要

滕近輝牧師是華人教會在二十世紀五十年代初,在西方接受高等神學教育的極少數人中的一位。他的神學訓練擴闊了他的視野和胸襟,塑造了他事奉的觀念,使他日後對神學教育的運作和發展,既能吸取西方優良的傳統,亦能針對華人教會的處境。本文從滕牧師的言談,以及他曾發表的文章和寫作這些資料中,搜索有關他論及神學教育的片斷,整理他對神學教育的理念,作為他留下給華人教會一份寶貴的產業。本文大綱如下:一、引言:滕近輝牧師與神學教育;二、神學教育的目標與使命;三、神學教育與教會的關係;四、神學教育的發展方向;五、神學教育的素質;六、神學教育的合作事工;七、結語:滕近輝牧師對神學教育的貢獻。

ABSTRACT

This essay is an attempt to reconstruct Dr. Philip Teng’s ideas and concepts of theological education, based on the research of unwritten records of his talks and conversations, and more importantly, his published writings on related and relevant topics. It is hoped that it will serve as another of his legacy to the Chinese Church. The essay has seven headings:1. Dr. Teng and Theological Education; 2. The Objectives and Mission of Theological Education; 3. Theological Education and the Church; 4. Development Direction of Chinese Theological Education; 5. Qualities of Chinese Theological Education; 6. Cooperation in Theological Education; 7. Dr. Teng’s Contribution to Theological Education.
