本文探討聖經詮釋的主觀層面，展示以同理心進入作者的主觀神學想像，對經文作神學詮釋的重要性。作者的主觀信仰長久以來被許多聖經學者置於研究的邊陲，以獲取對聖經「客觀理性」的描述，詮釋的結果往往未有顧及作者的神學思想世界，亦未能反映作者自身的關注，莫說達至真正的理解。

彼得前書的家庭規範正是適切的例子，展示從一個自己人的角度，以作者 自身的神學信仰作為入手點，尊重其定下的議程和框架來理解經文，可以如何跟社會科學和意識形態鑑評等從旁漠不關心的閱讀方式，得出截然不同卻更稱職的詮釋結果。文章最後強調詮釋的美德，對於讓上主的信息持續被當代子民羣體清楚聆聽的重要性。 

ABSTRACT

This essay investigates the subjective dimension of biblical interpretation. It demonstrates the importance of empathically entering into the author’s subjective theological imagination and interpreting biblical texts from a theological perspective. The author’s subjective faith has long been placed at the margin of research by many biblical scholars in order to obtain an “objective and rational” description of the Bible. The interpretive results are ones that often overlook the authors’ theological thought worlds and can hardly reflect the authors’ own concerns, not to say real understanding.
