保羅神學「四角錦標賽」—從爭論到聯合 / 葉應霖

我們信耶穌,不是信保羅。但我們卻是透過保羅去認識耶穌,並理解上帝救恩的計劃。換言之,曲解保羅就會誤解耶穌。觀乎近代的保羅神學發展,已經不再是單一傳統獨大。在不少人眼中(包括筆者),「因信稱義」已經不再是保羅神學的核心。取而代之的,是各式各樣的詮釋保羅派別,例如保羅新觀、天啟保羅及極端保羅。面對這五花百門的「亂象」,信徒不單難以認清全面的保羅輪廓,更會難以辨別其他「保羅派」信徒信的「耶穌」,是否與自己的一樣。本文以保羅與猶太人可能有的幾個關係為軸線,以「球類四國賽」的表達形式,簡介近代幾個保羅神學的觀點及起源。筆者在最後提出自己對保羅神學的觀點,指出保羅神學的核心,其實是「與基督聯合」。

 

ABSTRACT

We believe in Jesus, not in Paul. But it is through Paul that we know Jesus and understand God’s plan of salvation. In other words, misinterpreting Paul would misinterpret Jesus. Looking at the current state of Paul’s theology, it is no longer marked by a single dominating tradition. According to many scholars (including this author), “justification by faith” cannot take up the central position of Paul’s theology anymore. Instead, there are various new emerging Pauline hermeneutics, such as the “New Perspectives of Paul”, “Apocalyptic Paul”, and “Radical Paul”. In light of this chaos, believers would not only find it difficult to gain a comprehensive picture of Paul, but also difficult to tell whether that “Jesus” embraced by other Pauline interpreters match theirs. Based on various relations between Paul and the Jews, this article aims to introduce the viewpoints and origins of four distinct Pauline theology. At the end I present my stand on Paul’s theology, suggesting that the core of Paul’s theology is actually “union with Christ”.
