王明道是二十世紀中國教會重要領袖之一，他的文章對中國教會影響深遠。他年青時期離開倫敦傳道會（London Missionary Society）到使徒信心會（Apostolic Faith Mission），再由使徒信心會到安息日會（Seventhday Adventist Church），最後成立北京基督徒會堂。那時，他常與教會和學校領袖辯論，但同時亦承受着家人對他的極大壓力。從青年王明道的個案，除了可以了解王明道的神學改變外，我們亦可看到西方不同神學觀念對華人教會的影響。如果教會領袖沒有處理好分歧，這可以是教會的很大危機。

ABSTRACT

Wang Mingdao was one of important Chinese church leaders in the twentieth century. His writings had a deep influence on the Chinese church. When he was young, he left the London Missionary Society (LMS) Church and joined the Apostolic Faith Mission and then the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Later he founded The Christian Tabernacle in Beijing. During that time, Wang often debated with church and school leaders and was under a lot of pressure from his family. By tracing the change in Wang’s theology, we can see how various Western theologies had impacted the Chinese church of that period. We may note further that inability of church leaders to resolve theological differences often contributed to the crisis of the church.
