撮要

香港的基督徒與天主徒人數大約相等，各約廿六萬人；香港天主教教區於1964年成立聖神修院。基督教會之神學院數目難以準確統計，香港神學教育協會之十一所會員神學院，已包括所有主要之神學院。這十一所神學院中的八所，歷史皆源於中國大陸。開設之學位課程，可分為十一類；神學教育已不限於訓練教牧人員，亦包括訓練信徒及作高深之學術研究。八十多位神學院老師中，百分之九十為華人，學生超過一千人，大部分經費皆在香港籌募。未來之展望，包括結合跨科際知識進行神學教育，強化研究工作，發展本土化神學及建立華人神學交流網絡。

ABSTRACT

The number of Catholics and Protestants in Hong Kong is more or less the same, each has around 260,000. The Catholic Church started the Holy Spirit Seminary in 1964. Owing to the diversity of Protestant seminaries. 11 seminaries are admitted as members of the Hong Kong Theological Education Association and that include all the major seminaries. Among them, 8 could trace their origins back to mainland China. The purpose of theological education in Hong Kong is not only to train pastors but also laymen and to pursue academic research. Among the 80 strong teachers, 90% are Chinese. There are more than one thousand students. Most of the seminaries rely on funds raised in Hong Kong. In the future, emphases on inter-disciplinary approach, academic research, developing contextualized/indigenous theology and establishing a Chinese theological exchange network are expected.
