撮要

本文主要是重新探討羅馬書五章1 節之中的經文鑑別問題,究竟「與神相和」之中的動詞是直說語氣的χομεν,還是假設語氣的χωμεν。文中指出近代學者對這問題的探討並不符合一般的經文鑑別理念,以致解經者將他們認為是正確意義的直說語氣讀本看作為原有的讀本,而忽略了假設語氣讀本在歷史資料上有更優勝的支持。本文也會指出假設語氣的讀本也是可能的解釋。

ABSTRACT

This paper will re-examine the textual problem in Romans 5:1: whether the verb in the phrase “have peace with God” should be the indicative χομεν, or the subjunctive χωμεν. The study will point out that the treatment of most modern interpreters of this problem does not conform to normal textual criticism principles, so that these interpreters asserted that the indicative reading which they believe carries the correct meaning is the correct reading of the text against the external data. The paper will also illustrate that the subjunctive reading may make sense.
