本文指出路加福音一至二章中會有一連四件與尋索有關的事件；這四件事件均有同一的特色，就是不同事件中的人物在尋得他們所要尋索的對象時，敘述者會繼而透過不同層面將有關人物信仰生命的軟弱揭示出來。第一件與第四件事件是相互對應的，事件中的人物均是尋索兒子而尋得兒子，主要的場地都是聖殿。第一件事件是撒迦利亞尋索兒子而尋得兒子，但他信仰生命中的軟弱繼而透過其他人物的表現被揭示出來；第二件事件是馬利亞前往尋找伊利莎白，伊利莎白在屬靈事情上的愚昧繼而被揭示出來，讀者也會逐步看到她信仰生命中的軟弱；第三件事件是牧羊人尋得耶穌的父母，父母的愚昧與無知繼而被展示出來，讀者也會逐步看到馬利亞信仰生命中的軟弱；第四件事件是耶穌父母尋找而尋得耶穌，父母的無知與愚拙繼而全然被揭示出來。

ABSTRACT

This paper shows that there is a series of four different stories relating to the topic of “seeking” in Luke 1-2. Although finally different characters in these stories have successfully sought what they want to seek, weaknesses of related characters in the four stories are then revealed to readers through different aspects. Both the first and the fourth stories have characters seeking for son, and both of them are related to the temple of God. In the first story, Zechariah has been seeking for a son, his prayer has been listened and he is going to be a father, but his weaknesses are then revealed through the narrations of other characters. In the second story, the foolishness of Elizabeth is revealed right after Mary’s visit, and the weaknesses of Elizabeth can also be observed by readers. In the third story, the shepherds in Luke 2 have successfully found -Jesus and his parents, the foolishness of the parents is then revealed, and subsequently the weaknesses of Mary can also be observed by readers. In the fourth story, Jesus is finally found by his parents in the temple of God, the foolishness of his parents is then clearly revealed to readers.
